Litigation Associate

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in court and handle matters at the High Court, Court of Appeal, and other relevant tribunals.
• Prepare, review, and file a wide range of court processes in civil and commercial litigation.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal opinions, briefs, affidavits, petitions, and motions.
• Manage case files, maintain accurate documentation, and provide timely updates to supervising partners.
• Liaise with court officials, external counsel, and clients professionally and effectively.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, pre-trial conferences, and strategy sessions.
• Ensure tasks are completed within deadlines and comply with internal quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with the litigation team while also managing assigned matters independently.

Requirements:

• LL.B & B.L with a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1).
• 3–4 years post-call experience in core litigation.
• Proven trial and advocacy experience, with demonstrated appearances at the High Court and Court of Appeal.
• Strong drafting skills and excellent command of legal research tools.
• Exceptional communication, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to excellence

Remuneration: NGN  400,000
