Job Summary

The role is for a law firm practice manager and the role has overall responsibility for the management as well as execution of support function/HR and business development activities across the firm. The position role requires reporting to the relevant Partner.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and oversight to support personnel, functions, and departments across the firm, including IT, HR, Library, Facility Management, Finance, Administration, Business Development, Paralegal team, etc.
  • Support the firm’s leadership in practice development, including strategic planning and implementation, business development, and financial, client, and people management activities.
  • Oversee the activities of the accounts function and work closely with the practice accountant to ensure appropriate tracking and collection of receivables.
  • Drive business development for the firm, including tracking, monitoring, and evaluation of these activities.
  • Take ownership of the implementation of approved HR policies and ensure compliance by all staff.
  • Ensure effective utilization of information technology across the firm’s processes, including optimization of the firm’s investments in IT (hardware and software) across the firm and taking reports from the IT lead.
  • Monitor and stay abreast of industry, national and global developments, trends, and events to ensure that the firm is able to maintain and sharpen its competitive positioning and advantage.
  • In conjunction with the Practice accountant, prepare and submit periodic management reports on practice management activities for management decision-making. 


Requirements:

  • Academic qualification of a Bachelor's degree in law and being called to the Nigerian bar is desired. 
  • At least 3 – 5 years of working experience.
  • Excellent financial, management, and business skills.
  • Ability to manage a changing environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Leadership and motivational skills.
  • Organizational skills.


Location: Lekki, Lagos 

Remuneration: NGN 350,000 - 500,000
