The Junior Technical Advisor will support the Project Coordinator and the Technical Adviser in the Implementation of the program

Job Description/Requirements


Under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator and in close  cooperation with the Technical Adviser, the Junior Technical  Advisor will:  

  • Support project activities implementation regarding visibility and communication 
  • Advise implementing partners on communication aspects  including training and training material
  • Support research and analytical work
  • Development and operation of project M&E system including data collection and analysis
  • Provide input into reporting on basis of monitoring of data
  • Support short-term consultants
  • Provide input to the preparation of conferences,  workshops, study trips, and other events
  • Perform other duties and tasks at the request of the Project  Coordinator

Required Qualifications, and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in media, communication, Economics, or related field 

Professional Experience:

  • Not more than 3 years experience in a similar experience
  • Knowledge of organizational communication 
  • Experience in planning, monitoring, and evaluation in the  agricultural sector is an added advantage
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced working knowledge of ICT technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office).

Other knowledge, additional competencies:

  • Good systematic and analytical skills 
  • Cultural sensibility and ability to work well in a cross-cultural  team
  • Ability to communicate well with interdisciplinary or multi-institutional teams
  • Team player and constructive attitude responding positively  to critical feedback and differing points of views
  • Knowledge of local Nigerian languages
