Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud-based and on-premise systems.
- Assist in the design, deployment, and management of scalable, secure cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, or similar).
- Develop and maintain modern web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Angular.
- Automate routine tasks and cloud resource management using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and deployment needs.
- Maintain and monitor virtualized and containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ensure secure and efficient API integrations and basic database interactions (SQL and NoSQL).
- Uphold data security, privacy standards, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Contribute to ongoing IT projects and initiatives to improve infrastructure reliability and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or similar roles with emphasis on cloud technologies and web development.
- Web Development Experience
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals and protocols.
- Working knowledge of cloud architectures, services, and best practices.
- Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience managing and deploying web applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar).
- Basic understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and API integrations.
- Experience with scripting languages for automation and infrastructure management.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
- High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and discretion with sensitive information.
- Fluency in both Maltese and English is required.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator) are considered a plus.
- Prior experience in a credit institution or financial services sector is an asset.
