We are seeking an experienced Inventory & Procurement Officer to manage stock control, procurement processes and vendor relationships to ensure smooth supermarket operations to join our Retail Supermarket team in Port Harcourt.
- Minimum Qualification : HND
- Experience Level : Mid level
- Experience Length : 3 years
- Working Hours : Rotating Schedule
Job Description/Requirements
- Monitor and track stock levels across departments.
- Conduct regular stock counts, variance analysis, and implement shrinkage control measures.
- Manage the procurement cycle, request, evaluate, and process supplier orders.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality supply and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate terms with vendors to achieve cost savings and timely deliveries.
- Maintain proper documentation of stock receipts, transfers, adjustments, and purchase records.
- Work closely with the Supermarket manager to align inventory with sales trends.
- Provide accurate weekly and monthly reports on stock status, procurement, and vendor performance.
Requirements
- BA / B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field.
- Minimum 3 years proven experience in inventory management and procurement within Retail, Supermarkets or FMCG.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and vendor management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Inventory/procurement management systems.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Must be available to start immediately.
