Job summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Internal Auditor to support our confectionery operations. The role involves reviewing internal controls, ensuring policy compliance, managing operational risks, and protecting company assets across production, sales, inventory, and finance in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and surprise audits across production facilities, retail outlets, warehouses, and the head office
  • Review and assess internal controls related to inventory, cash handling, sales, procurement, and production processes
  • Verify stock movement, wastage records, raw material usage, and finished goods reconciliation
  • Audit sales records, POS reports, and revenue collections to identify discrepancies or revenue leakages
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Identify risks, control gaps, fraud indicators, and process inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions
  • Prepare clear audit reports with findings, observations, and recommendations
  • Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions
  • Support management with risk assessments and process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards at all times

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1–3years of experience in internal audit, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, retail, or food production
  • Professional certification is an added advantage (ICAN, ACCA, CIA, CIPM, or related)
  • Strong understanding of Inventory controls, Cash management, and Production and cost controls
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems
  • Ability to work independently and across multiple locations
  • Strong integrity, professionalism, and communication skills
