Accounting Manager (Fintech)

Responsibilities:

• Lead the financial operations of our rapidly growing fintech company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting functions.
• Oversee day‑to‑day activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and reconciliations.
• Prepare timely financial statements, manage budgeting and forecasting cycles, and provide insights that support strategic decision‑making.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams such as Product, Operations, and Compliance to strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations.
• Manage external relationships with auditors, regulators, and financial partners, while driving process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor junior finance staff.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification (ICAN or ACCA) is mandatory
• Minimum of  3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in fintech or financial services is an added advantage
• Proven track record in managing AP, AR, GL, and financial reporting processes

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and regulatory frameworks
• Proficiency with accounting software and cloud‑based finance tools
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills
