Role Description The Insurance Sales Representative is a full-time role based in Lagos with a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office and work-from-home flexibility. The person in this role will identify and engage prospective clients, explain insurance products and services, and recommend suitable coverage options based on client needs and risk profiles. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline, preparing and presenting quotations, following up on leads, and closing sales in line with company targets. The Insurance Sales Representative will provide ongoing customer service, support policy renewals, and collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to ensure a smooth client experience. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in CRM tools, participating in sales campaigns, and staying current on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and Leadway’s product offerings.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Insurance Sales and Sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Strong knowledge of Insurance products and Insurance Brokerage practices, or the ability to learn them quickly.
- Proven Customer Service skills, with the ability to build trust, handle inquiries, and manage client relationships professionally.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities, both in-person and via digital channels.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including effective pipeline management and follow-up.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment in Lagos, using digital tools and CRM systems to manage work remotely when needed.
- Previous experience in insurance, financial services, or related sales roles is an advantage.
- Relevant academic background (e.g., business, finance, economics, or related field) and professional certifications in insurance or sales are beneficial.
