We are seeking a proactive and safety‑conscious NYSC Intern to join our Health, Safety, Environment, Quality & Sustainability (EHSQ&S) team. You will play a key role in enhancing workplace safety, upholding regulatory standards, and advancing continuous improvement processes.

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing and monitoring EHSQ policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Support routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Participate in incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Help ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements (e.g., FMEnv, NESREA, DPR/NUPRC, where applicable).
- Support toolbox talks, safety inductions, awareness programs, and Permit To Work process.
- Assist in documentation, record-keeping, and preparation of EHSQ & S reports.
- Tracking and documentation of relevant EHSQ & S KPIs.
Requirements:
- BSc/ HND in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of HSE/EHS principles and workplace safety standards.
- Prior industrial training (SIWES) or exposure to safety-related roles.
- Good analytical and observational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and follow safety rules strictly.
