The Heavy Duty Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty equipment and machinery. The role ensures optimal performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical systems used in operations such as construction, logistics, mining, or industrial activities.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty machinery and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective repair solutions
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment downtime
- Supervise maintenance technicians and ensure quality work standards
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements
- Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities and reports
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- Coordinate with operations and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues
- Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance tools
- Provide technical support during equipment installation and commissioning
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2–7 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance
- Strong knowledge of heavy machinery such as trucks, excavators, loaders, and generators
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults
- Good leadership and supervisory skills
- Proficiency in maintenance planning and reporting tools
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and engineering standards
- COREN registration or relevant professional certification is an advantage
