Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Daily Sales Reconciliation:

  • Assist in reconciling daily cash and credit sales
  • Support real-time posting of sales transactions
  • Review and follow up on Business Development Executives’ (BDEs) daily account balances


Bank & Cash Reconciliation:

  • Support cheque lodgments and monitoring of bank deposits
  • Assist in verifying payment accuracy and completeness
  • Participate in the monthly reconciliation of the depot float and bank accounts


Receivables & Credit Control:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate receivables and customer ledgers
  • Support monitoring of customer credit limits and outstanding balances
  • Ensure proper documentation and GL postings


Credit Customer Support:

  • Assist in compiling data for monthly credit customer reviews
  • Follow up on overdue invoices and pending payments


Reporting:

  • Assist in preparing daily sales reconciliation reports
  • Support the generation of weekly BDE open invoice and outstanding reports
  • Track and reconcile Shoprite and SPAR invoices


Documentation & Compliance:

  • Check and file supporting documents for sales and payments
  • Maintain proper documentation for audit and control purposes
  • Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures


Requirements:

  • Minimum of an HND in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or other related technical disciplines.
  • Minimum of Second Class Lower (2:2) or Lower Credit.
  • Must have completed the NYSC programme or possess a valid exemption certificate.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to learn, work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and adapt to shift operations where required.
