Fleet/Equipment Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of all vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Supervise mechanics, drivers, and equipment operators.
• Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and equipment performance.
• Ensure all fleet assets are compliant with safety regulations and certifications.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing, and equipment history.
• Coordinate equipment dispatch, allocation, and return for site operations.
• Track and manage spare parts, maintenance tools, and consumables.
• Recommend equipment upgrades, replacements, or procurement.
• Investigate and report accidents, breakdowns, and operational issues.
• Work closely with procurement and logistics teams on maintenance-related needs.

Requirements:

• Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Transport Management, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience managing fleets or heavy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of trucks, excavators, forklifts, cranes, generators, and other machinery.
• Hands-on experience supervising mechanics and technicians.
• Excellent record-keeping and equipment management skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational tasks.
