Finance and Account Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the organization.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of financial transactions.
• Monitor company expenses and implement effective cost-control measures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate tax preparation, filings, and other regulatory financial obligations.
• Establish and maintain strong financial controls and accounting procedures.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide management with insights for business decision-making.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and identify significant variances.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate accounting and finance staff.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Review payroll, invoices, payments, and financial documentation for accuracy and authorization.
• Maintain proper financial records and ensure confidentiality of financial information.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax authorities, suppliers, and other financial stakeholders.
• Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Improve accounting processes, systems, and reporting procedures to enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

• Minimum of an HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with managerial experience.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, or CPA is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and financial controls.
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong financial analysis, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory financial requirements is an added advantage.
• Ability to manage confidential financial information with discretion.
• Strong integrity, accountability, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
