Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Process and verify invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Track sales, taxes, and apply correct tax entries on invoices.
- Monitor office expenses, company loans, and investments.
- Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Track bank accounts, deposits, and balances and report updates to management.
- Assist in preparing financial reports such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare monthly performance report (MPR) financials, including customer balances.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and compiling financial data for bids and proposals.
- Support internal and corporate audits with proper documentation and recordkeeping.
- Assist with payroll-related statutory remittances and maintain proper records.
- Monitor tax obligations (PAYE, WHT, VAT, CIT) and provide regular compliance updates.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and financial regulations.
- Maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
- Training or coursework in taxation, financial reporting, or accounting software is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Zoho and basic accounting tools.
- Solid understanding of tax computations and statutory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
