Electrical Supervisor
Job summary
The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for supervising all electrical installation works relating to fire detection, alarm, suppression, and associated electrical systems. The role ensures installations are executed in accordance with approved drawings, applicable standards, project specifications, and project timelines.

Responsibilities:
Project Execution:
- Ensure all electrical works comply with approved drawings and specifications.
- Supervise the installation of:
- Fire alarm systems
- Smoke and heat detectors
- Manual call points
- Sounders and strobes
- Fire alarm control panels
- Emergency lighting systems
- Power and control cabling
- Cable trays and conduits
Team Supervision:
- Supervise electricians, technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors.
- Allocate daily work schedules.
- Monitor productivity and workmanship.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings.
Quality Assurance:
- Inspect completed installations before testing.
- Verify cable routing, terminations, labeling, and equipment installation.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and system handover.
- Ensure compliance with relevant fire safety and electrical standards.
Material Management:
- Review project BOQs for electrical materials.
- Monitor daily material consumption.
- Raise Material Requisition Forms (MRFs) before stock shortages occur.
- Prevent wastage and misuse of electrical materials.
- Reconcile issued materials against completed work.
Equipment & Tools Management:
- Ensure electrical tools and testing instruments are in good working condition.
- Maintain calibration records where applicable.
- Report damaged tools or equipment promptly.
Safety Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to electrical safety procedures.
- Verify isolation procedures before commencing work.
- Ensure personnel wear appropriate PPE.
- Maintain safe work practices at all times.
Reporting:
Prepare and submit:
- Daily Site Progress Reports.
- Weekly Progress Reports.
- Electrical Testing Reports.
- Material Consumption Reports.
- Manpower Reports.
- Site Observation Reports.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of BS.
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
