We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across the facility. The role involves ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical infrastructure.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain a wide range of electrical equipment and building systems — including lighting networks, power distribution panels, circuit breakers, and control devices — in alignment with engineering standards and manufacturer specifications. 
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on facility electrical infrastructure such as distribution boards, wiring networks, backup power systems, HVAC controls, and fire alarm circuits to ensure safe and uninterrupted building operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions using advanced troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic tools
  • Implementing effective corrective actions to prevent system failures and minimize service downtime.
  • Provide prompt technical support to facility operations by responding swiftly to electrical emergencies
  • Ensuring that all systems are restored to full functionality with minimal disruption to occupants or operations.
  • Interpret and apply electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings with accuracy during installations, modifications, and upgrades to ensure compliance with project design and safety requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive maintenance documentation, including service records, fault logs, spare parts usage and inspection reports
  • Ensuring preventive maintenance schedules to support audit, compliance, and management reporting.
  • Ensure all electrical works and installations comply with national electrical codes, statutory safety regulations, energy efficiency standards, and internal facility management policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with building engineers, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and other service personnel to coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance programs that sustain system reliability and reduce energy consumption.
  • Monitor and evaluate facility electrical systems' performance, recommending technical or operational improvements that enhance reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and optimize energy efficiency.
  • Participate actively in facility-wide safety drills, energy management initiatives, and continuous improvement programs, fostering a work environment centered on safety, operational excellence, and professional accountability.

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma, technical certification in Electrical Installation, Engineering and Maintenance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of practical experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing, industrial, or facility management environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in electrical systems, power distribution, circuitry, and control mechanisms.
  • Proven proficiency in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electromechanical faults efficiently.
  • Strong ability to interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams with precision.
  • Sound understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance principles and best practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High level of commitment to workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills to work seamlessly within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and respond promptly to emergency maintenance requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple maintenance activities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and adaptation to emerging electrical technologies.
