Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Operate rotary, percussion, and auger drilling machines for geotechnical and mineral exploration projects.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of drilling equipment.
- Ensure proper sample recovery and preservation during drilling operations.
- Position drilling machines according to site plans.
- Monitor drilling speed, pressure, and fluid circulation.
- Log drilling progress, penetration rates, and subsurface conditions.
- Work in diverse terrain and environmental conditions while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with geologists and geotechnical teams to achieve drilling targets.
- Follow safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE/OND with vocational training in drilling operations.
- At least 3 years of experience operating drilling machines for geotechnical or mining projects.
- Knowledge of different drilling techniques (e.g., core drilling, auger drilling).
- Ability to work in remote locations and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Certification in drilling operations or heavy equipment handling is an advantage.
