Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Reports to the Head of Engineering Office Nigeria
• Assist the Team Leader in maintaining the operational performance of the Technical Office when and where necessary
  
• Develop an understanding of PERI’s products and technical design strategy
• Provide technical advice on all PERI products to customers and PERI Sales Engineers
• Produce accurate and cost-effective drawings, schedules, and quotations whilst maintaining an efficient and effective use of time and other resources.
• Preparation of offer presentations and, if necessary, independent presentations to the customer
• Independent solution finding and quotation elaboration, quotation calculation, and technical quotation description based on it
• Independent static pre-dimensioning
• Check and develop further schemes produced by other technical team members to ensure safety, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness for all parties
• Ensure consistent and efficient working practices, evaluate compliance with engineering processes and procedures, and support the development & maintenance of engineering tools to increase productivity
• Work closely with the Head of Engineers, the Sales Team, and the Managing Director to help support the strategic growth of the subsidiary
• Available to travel occasionally for training and site support
• Project management, technical support, and on-site training for clients on the use of PERI formworks and scaffolding systems.

Requirements:

• Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or any related engineering discipline 
• Minimum of 2-4 years of industry work experience 
• Good knowledge of MS Office including Excel
• In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD
• Experience within a formwork designer role will be an advantage
• Experience in applying relevant engineering Standards applicable to formwork and scaffolding is desirable
• Understanding of the technical requirements in the Construction industry in Nigeria
• In-depth knowledge of Design Analysis Programs
• Objective-orientated, ability to work independently

Remuneration: NGN 3,000,000 - 3,600,000 gross annually
