Corporate and Commercial lawyer

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel and support across a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, with a focus on our four practice areas
• Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to M&A transactions, project finance, private equity investments, and other corporate transactions.
• Advise clients on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and government relations matters.
• Work closely with team members to understand client needs, project objectives, and deliverables.
• Act as a key point of contact for specific project components and maintain effective communication with clients. -Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Engage with clients to understand their business objectives and provide tailored legal solutions aligned with their strategic goals.
• Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on industry trends, market dynamics, competitors, and best practices. Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure clients are informed of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Collaborate with the team to develop creative solutions for complex business challenges. Propose innovative strategies and approaches to enhance client performance and competitiveness
• Continuously expand knowledge of business trends, legal and regulatory developments, industry trends, and market dynamics affecting our clients' businesses.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to prepare tailored proposals and presentations for potential clients. Ensure that the proposals are accurate, well-structured, and aligned with the client's needs.

Requirements:

• LL.B. and BL from a reputable institution.
• 1 year post call.
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian business landscape and regulatory environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide legal advice with a holistic business mindset, considering both legal and commercial implications.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Location: Lekki 

Remuneration: NGN 300,000 Monthly
