Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive anesthetic care for patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures.
- Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluation and assessment of patients, ensuring appropriate preparation and risk management.
- Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgery, managing patients’ physiological parameters and responding to intraoperative events.
- Oversee post-anesthetic recovery and pain management, ensuring a smooth transition to postoperative care.
Requirements:
- Fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS), National Postgraduate
- Medical College (FMCA), or other recognized equivalent qualification in anesthesia.
- Full registration and current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Proven clinical experience as a consultant anesthetist, with competence in a wide range of anesthetic techniques and procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team coordination skills in the theatre and critical care environment.
- Candidates must be residents of Abuja
Location: 3rd Avenue, by 34 Crescent, Gwarinpa, Abuja.
Remuneration: NGN 21,000,000 per annum, plus or minus, depending on experience
