Channel sales development manager

Job Summary

The Group Head of Sales is responsible for the expansion of the company’s clients. Reporting to the CEO, the Group Head will coordinate all strategies for effectively selling company products and services to prospective clients in Nigeria and beyond. She will be responsible for organizing and supervising the salesforce. The role requires identification and pursuit of sales opportunities and closure through effective lead management and support.

Job Description/Requirements

Major Responsibility & Duties:

▪ Personify the company’s policies, procedures, and values in accomplishing all related assigned tasks.

▪ Research of assigned target market and finding companies to target.

▪ Market intelligence of the company’s products and services vis-à-vis competition

▪ Cold calling potential customers and selling the company’s products and services.

▪ Attend meetings with potential customers and close sales and document same using prescribed tools.

▪ Build personal sales pipeline to ensure a constant stream of sales, using prescribed tools.

▪ Meet monthly sales and revenue targets as set by the Sales Team Lead.

▪ Mapping activity targets in the sales lead funnel set by the Sales Team Lead.

▪ Ensures updating of the CRM and inputting information on prospects and customers.

▪ Following up with past customers and cross-selling products.

▪ Investigating and resolving queries from customers.

▪ Preparation and presentation of weekly and other periodic reports on personal sales activities, using prescribed tools.

▪ Investigating and resolving queries from customers.

▪ Aiding other members of his/her sales team.

▪ Continually developing PFS’s brand and building increasing awareness in the marketplace

▪ Evaluating new opportunities to ensure resources are focused on the best opportunities.

▪ Forming strategic partnerships with other companies to leverage their existing networks.

▪ Prepare and communicate strategies and set objectives to subordinates and the CEO as well.

▪ Increase company’s opportunities through market research and client engagements.

▪ Any other assigned duties from time to time


Key Performance Indicator (Annual):

▪ Seek new Corporate Sales ($3,000,000.00) in the first year

▪ Add new viable clients (20) in the first year.


Role Specific Competencies/Soft Skills/Qualification

▪ First degree in Marketing or other relevant degrees (Minimum 2:1)

▪ Stakeholder Management skills

▪ Proficient with Microsoft Office tools

▪ Minimum of 10-15years IT Software Sales experience

▪ Key Account/Reseller management skills

▪ Good presentation skills

▪ Very good dress sense 

▪ Good negotiation skills

▪ Good communication skills

▪ Excellent knowledge of business planning

▪ Good people management skills

▪ Effective time and process management skills

▪ Ability to travel locally and internationally

▪ MBA is an added advantage
