CCTV Operator
Job summary
The CCTV Monitoring Officer is responsible for the continuous surveillance of company premises through CCTV systems to ensure safety, security, and compliance with organizational policies. The role also requires basic IT knowledge to support the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of surveillance and related digital systems.

Responsibilities:
CCTV Monitoring & Security:
- Monitor live CCTV footage across all assigned locations to detect and prevent security breaches.
- Identify and report suspicious activities, security risks, or incidents in real time.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily surveillance activities and incidents.
- Review recorded footage when required for investigations or audits.
- Escalate serious security concerns promptly to the Chief Security Officer (CSO) or management.
- Ensure all surveillance equipment is functioning properly at all times.
Incident Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and submit daily incident reports.
- Maintain accurate records of security events and actions taken.
- Assist in internal investigations by retrieving and analyzing CCTV footage.
Basic IT Support:
- Perform basic troubleshooting on CCTV systems, DVRs/NVRs, and network connections.
- Support the installation and configuration of cameras and related equipment.
- Liaise with IT personnel or external vendors for advanced technical issues.
- Ensure proper data storage, backup, and retrieval of surveillance footage.
- Monitor system performance and report faults or downtime.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure adherence to company security policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of surveillance data and sensitive information.
- Support periodic system checks and audits.
Requirements:
- Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in any related field (IT, Computer Science, or Engineering is an advantage).
- 1–3 years’ experience in CCTV monitoring or a similar security role.
- Basic knowledge of IT systems, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, DVR/NVR operations, and surveillance software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain alert for long periods.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
