Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, or other materials
- Construct and install building frameworks (walls, floors, doorframes, etc.)
- Install cabinets, shelving, drywall, and other fixtures
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or structures
- Maintain tools and ensure job site safety
- Collaborate with contractors and other construction professionals
Requirements:
- Minimum High School (S.S.C.E)
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
Proven experience as a carpenter (2 years and more preferred)
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods
Ability to read technical documents and drawings
Proficiency with hand and power tools
Good physical condition and stamina
High school diploma or equivalent
Finish carpentry experience
Framing and drywall expertise
Experience with remodeling projects
Ability to supervise apprentices
