Furniture Maker

Responsibilities:

• Carry out carpentry and furniture-making tasks according to production specifications.
• Participate in the production and assembly of internal doors and related components.
• Interpret measurements, drawings, designs, and production instructions.
• Operate woodworking tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ensure accurate alignment, dimensions, joints, and finishing of completed work.
• Identify and correct defects or imperfections in fabricated components.
• Minimise material wastage through accurate measurement and efficient material utilisation.
• Maintain woodworking tools, machinery, and equipment in good working condition.
• Work closely with other production personnel to meet daily production targets.

Requirements:

• Vocational or Technical training in carpentry, furniture making, or a related field is compulsory, with a minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience.
• Ability to work with various woodworking tools and machinery.
• Ability to read and work from measurements, drawings, and production specifications.
• Strong understanding of woodwork, joints, fitting, sanding, and finishing.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively within a production team.
• Ability to meet production schedules and deadlines.
