Business Development Officer
Job summary
We are a leading provider of heavy lifting solutions, specializing in rentals and sales of mobile cranes, Crawler cranes, spider cranes, and heavy-duty lifting equipment. We are seeking for a Business Development Officer who will generate new revenue streams by selling our crane fleet and negotiating rental contracts.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect new clients requiring crane rentals or purchases for infrastructure, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Conduct site visits to understand client requirements, provide technical consultations, and recommend the right crane for the job.
- Prepare competitive proposals, negotiate rental rates and sales prices, and close agreements that maximize profitability.
- Build long term relationships with construction managers, general contractors, and engineering firms to secure repeat business and long-term contracts.
- Monitor competitor activities and market pricing trends to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries, mobilizations, on-site safety, and pick up equipment.
Requirements:
- A degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 -5 years of sales and business experience, specifically within heavy equipment, construction machinery, and equipment rentals.
- Ability to understand crane capabilities(tonnage), boom lengths, and job site logistics.
- A proven track record of visiting cold calling, visiting job sites, and closing deals.
Remuneration: NGN 150,000

- Transportation allowance: NGN 20,000
- Call Cards: NGN 10,000
- Data allowance: NGN 20,000
- 2% of every crane sold.
