Job summary

We are seeking a creative, innovative, and detail-oriented Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing functional, aesthetically pleasing, and sustainable buildings and spaces while ensuring compliance with client requirements, building regulations, and industry standards.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop architectural concepts, designs, and detailed construction drawings for residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects.
  • Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, 3D models, and design presentations.
  • Interpret client requirements and translate them into practical and innovative design solutions.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
  • Incorporate sustainable and cost-effective design principles into projects.
  • Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers throughout project development.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Attend project meetings and provide technical guidance during project execution.
  • Review contractor shop drawings and material submissions.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure construction complies with approved designs and specifications.
  • Prepare project schedules and monitor design deliverables.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Monitor project progress and resolve design-related issues.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within approved timelines and budgets.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and design records.
  • Ensure architectural drawings and specifications meet quality standards.
  • Review construction work for compliance with approved plans and design intent.
  • Obtain necessary approvals and permits from relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Implement quality control measures throughout the design and construction process.
  • Stay updated on architectural trends, materials, technologies, and sustainability practices.
  • Conduct site analyses, feasibility studies, and space planning assessments.
  • Recommend innovative building materials and construction techniques.
  • Support continuous improvement in design processes and project delivery.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Architecture.
  • Proven years of professional experience in architectural design and project coordination.
  • Registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) is an added advantage.
  • Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) is desirable.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, Lumion, 3D Max, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and design standards.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving abilities.
