We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Officer to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure the efficient and accurate processing of financial operations. This role involves supporting the finance team with daily accounting tasks and financial reporting.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journals, ledgers, and other documents, in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee and process payments and receipts, ensuring that accounts payable and receivable are managed efficiently and accurately.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of bank statements with internal records, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- General Ledger Management: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries and ensuring accuracy in the financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements, for management review.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns in accordance with local regulations, ensuring compliance with all statutory tax obligations (e.g., VAT, corporate tax, payroll taxes).
- Budget Assistance: Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets, tracking actual expenses against budgeted amounts, and helping to identify variances.
- Audit Preparation: Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documentation, schedules, and reports.
- Expense Management: Verify company expenses and ensure all expenditures are accurately documented and classified.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct routine analysis of financial data and provide insights on trends, potential financial issues, or cost-saving opportunities.
- Process Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- B.SC./HND in Accounting
- Minimum of ICAN Skills Level
