Finance Officer

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, including journals, ledgers, and trial balances.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and other accounts regularly.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Prepare payroll and ensure statutory deductions (PAYE, pension, NHF, etc.) are remitted promptly.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Support external auditors during audits and provide required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and tax obligations.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
• Generate management reports to support decision-making.
• Use accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally) for daily financial operations.

Requirements:

• A university degree or its equivalent in accounting or finance (a minimum of an HND degree is required)
• 3-5 years of professional experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, knowledge of accounting software is an additional advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High integrity and confidentiality.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Membership of a professional accounting body (ICAN, ANAN, etc.) is an added advantage
