Job summary
We are seeking a smart, detail-oriented, and trustworthy Accountant to join our team . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing company financial records, tracking transactions, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting the financial operations of our business.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor company's cash flow and liquidity positions.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Track company expenses and operational costs.
- Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and management reports.
Reconciliation & Payments:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, crypto wallets, payment processors, and client deposits and withdrawals
- Investigate discrepancies and prepare reconciliation reports.
- Verify and approve payment records before processing.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist management with budgeting and financial planning.
- Prepare revenue forecasts and expense projections.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets.
Compliance & Internal Controls:
- Maintain proper financial documentation and audit trails.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Assist with tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Recommend and implement financial controls to minimize operational risk.
Payroll & Vendor Management:
- Process staff payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Manage vendor payments and invoices.
- Maintain records of employee compensation and benefits.
Management Reporting:
- Provide weekly financial summaries to management.
- Prepare executive reports highlighting revenue, expenses, cash position, outstanding liabilities, and financial risks
- Support strategic decision-making with financial analysis
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, etc.) is an added advantage
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting
- Experience using accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or Excel
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Experience in fintech, forex, crypto, or financial services is an added advantage
