Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accountant with strong experience in Treasury and Investment Management, ideally within the banking or fintech sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, treasury operations, statutory compliance, and delivering strategic financial insights — with a strong emphasis on investment strategy, portfolio management, and fixed-income instruments.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Records & Reporting

•
Maintain accurate financial records using Excel and accounting tools

•
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and management reports

•
Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to support business decisions

Treasury, Investments & Portfolio Management

•
Develop and execute investment strategies aligned with the company’s objectives

•
Conduct investment research and analysis to advise management on optimal opportunities

•
Manage and monitor investment portfolios, including tracking performance and risk

•
Handle treasury activities across fixed-income instruments such as:

•
Bank Fixed Deposits

•
Treasury Bills

•
Government Bonds

•
Money Market Funds

•
Manage daily cash flow, liquidity planning, and funding requirements

•
Automate treasury and finance processes for faster, more accurate reporting

Reconciliations & Internal Controls

•
Perform bank, wallet, and ledger reconciliations

•
Maintain proper documentation and audit trails

•
Support internal and external audits

•
Strengthen financial controls and compliance processes

Tax, Compliance & Audit

•
Handle statutory filings: VAT, WHT, PAYE, and CIT

•
Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws and regulatory standards

•
Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies

Budgeting & Financial Advisory

•
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization

•
Prepare weekly and monthly financial and treasury reports

•
Provide advisory insights to management on financial and investment decisions

Requirements

•
BSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field

•
Proven experience in Treasury and Investment Management (banking/fintech preferred)

•
Strong understanding of fixed-income markets and instruments

•
Hands-on experience in portfolio tracking, analysis, and reporting

•
Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory frameworks

•
ICAN / ACCA / ACA certification is an added advantage

•
Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting/finance tools

•
Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
