Account Officer
Job summary
We seek to hire an account officer to join our team. The account officer will be working with the society’s regional accountant on financial and administrative roles for the society. Must be ready to run other office errands.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare, examine, and analyse financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and ethical standards.
- Maintain and update accounting records using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and receipts.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing accurate financial data for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to facilitate smooth financial operations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding financial matters and reporting.
Requirements:
- A qualified candidate must be a resident around the mainland and environs.
- A minimum of a BSc in accounting or related courses.
- Must possess accounting technician scheme (ATS) or must be pursuing the ICAN examination
- Possess at least 1 years of work experience in accounting position
- Must be below age 30 by next birthday
- Effective communication and good interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks is required
- A sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel is highly important
- Must have good accounting principles and maintain ethical standards
