Culate Wears is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with a strong grasp of general accounting principles and practical experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliation, tax filing, auditing and inventory management.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank statements.
Monitor daily sales, cash flow, and petty cash activities.
Handle payroll computation and statutory deductions (PAYE, pension, etc.).
Support the internal audit process and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
Track inventory and liaise with store and procurement teams on stock reconciliation.
Assist management with budget preparation and expense tracking.
Ensure timely remittance of taxes and other financial obligations.
Provide financial analysis and insights to aid business decisions.

Requirements:

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management.
Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and audit support.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with payroll systems and statutory deductions (PAYE, pension, etc.).
