Job Summary
A top-notch full-service law firm with offices in Lagos requires the services of a Finance & Administrative Assistant in its Lagos office with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role. The candidate who must at a minimum possess a Higher National Diploma/BSc will have the responsibilities of processing payments, updating financial records, and managing invoices. The candidate will also support the financial & firm support department in related duties. The candidate should have strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, good organisational skills, and working knowledge of accounting software.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Process and maintain proper records of financial transactions
- Timely posting of transactions to the firm’s accounting software
- Proper documentation of completed transactions
- Assist the Finance manager in facilitating monthly financial account preparation and reporting
- Assist the Finance manager in the preparation of the Finance budget, harmonisation and the Monthly budget review
- Timely preparation and processing of statutory returns to the relevant tax jurisdiction
- Assist the Finance Manager in year-end financial and periodic audits
- Monthly bank and client account reconciliation and reporting discrepancies.
- Preparation of bank reconciliation statement
- Suggesting ways to improve transaction accuracy, efficiency and seamless process
- Periodic update of cash advances and retirements
- Compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Periodic verification of transactions and reporting of errors and irregularities to the Finance Manager
- Financial and personnel data confidentiality
- Administrative functions i.e. inventory, procurement and fleet management.
- Additional functions as designated by the Finance and Practice Managers
Requirements:
- Degree in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software, and other technological tools
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping.
- Good organisational skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Excellent time management skills.
- An understanding of data privacy standards.
- ICAN/ACCA certification is an added advantage
Remuneration: NGN 200,000 - 250,000
