Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the account officer to assess default reasons and negotiate repayment plans.
- Ensure overdue debts are collected promptly and professionally.
- Maintain regular contact with delinquent customers through calls, emails and physical visits.
- Provide support and assistance to customers on repayment options.
- Take legal action to recover outstanding debts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and payment agreements.
- Track and monitor loan repayment schedules.
- Issue demand notices and reminders to defaulters.
- Provide feedback to the credit department on risk trends.
Requirements:
- A minimum of an HND in a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role
- MCP is an added advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical skills, including negotiation and knowledge of microfinance regulations
- Ability to work under intensive pressure
- Proficiency in MS Office and core banking application software (BankOne)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and record keeping.
