We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced accountant to oversee the financial health of a private higher school. He / she will be responsible for managing the entire accounting cycle, from tuition collection and payroll to financial reporting and tax compliance. The ideal candidate will ensure that our financial operations support our mission of providing top-tier higher education.

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Student Financial Services: Billing, tuition collection, and the management of student accounts/refunds.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Budgeting & Analysis: Assist the Board of Directors in preparing annual budgets and monitoring departmental spending.
- Payroll & Benefits: Manage staff payroll, pension contributions, and statutory deductions.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure the school meets all local educational and financial regulations. Coordinate with external auditors for the annual fiscal audit.
- Asset register: Maintain a comprehensive asset register
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Optional but recommended, a [partly or fully qualified ICAN] is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in accounting, preferably within an educational setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or school-specific ERPs) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- High level of integrity, excellent communication skills for dealing with parents/students, and strong analytical thinking.
