Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations and assist with tax planning and filing.
• Process payroll, employee reimbursements, and other financial transactions.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Support client financial reporting as needed within the consulting firm.
• Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Use accounting software and tools to streamline processes (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ICAN/ACCA certification is an added advantage).
• Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in an accounting role, preferably within a consulting or service-based environment.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial reporting standards, and accounting principles.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Remuneration: NGN 250,000 – 300,000 Monthly
