Job Summary

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accountant responsible for managing the financial records of the organization with accuracy, transparency, and compliance. The role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, maintaining general ledgers, handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, ensuring timely and accurate.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Preparing financial reports
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Handle day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Monitoring internal controls, analysing financial data, identifying variances, and providing recommendations for improving financial performance.
  • Assist with tax preparation and statutory filings
  • Ensure timely submission of financial documents and coordinate with auditors during internal or external audits.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent (added advantage).
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements, budgeting, and using accounting software.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or SAP.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and general accounting principles.
  • Ability to perform bank reconciliations, manage ledgers, and analyse financial data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organisational and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
