Job Summary

As an Hotel Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our hotel. You will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. This role requires strong attention to detail, financial expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with various hotel departments.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements regularly.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of the hotel's annual budget, ensuring that expenses are controlled, and revenue goals are met.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and collection efforts.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and identify discrepancies.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis, variance analysis, and key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, prepare and file tax returns, and liaise with external tax advisors when necessary.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and minimize financial risks.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an accountant in the hotel or hospitality industry (1 year).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


Remuneration: NGN
100,000 - 150,000
