Job summary

The Auditor will be responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting on audits of clients’ management systems and processes in accordance with applicable standards and certification requirements. The successful candidate will assess compliance, review relevant documentation, gather objective evidence, identify findings, and prepare detailed audit reports. The Auditor will also communicate effectively with clients, maintain impartiality and confidentiality, participate in audit activities as required, and ensure all audits are conducted in accordance with IEMA Cert’s procedures and professional standards.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct audits in line with applicable standards and procedures.
  • Review documents, records, and management systems.
  • Gather and evaluate objective audit evidence.
  • Identify and document conformities, non-conformities, and observations.
  • Prepare clear and accurate audit reports.
  • Communicate audit findings professionally to clients.
  • Maintain confidentiality and impartiality throughout the audit process.
  • Follow IEMA Cert’s certification and audit procedures.
  • Complete audit assignments within agreed timelines.
  • Participate in follow-up activities where required.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Relevant auditing or industry experience.
  • Knowledge of management system standards and audit principles.
  • Relevant auditor training/certification will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and professional judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client audits when required.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and impartiality.
