Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive trailer trucks safely and responsibly.
- Transport goods to designated locations on schedule.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of cargo.
- Maintain logbooks and delivery documentation.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents promptly.
- Comply with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and refueling as needed.
- Ensure cargo is handled carefully to prevent damage.
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Proven experience driving heavy-duty trucks/trailers.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and road safety regulations.
- Ability to read maps, GPS, and plan efficient routes.
- Good physical fitness and stamina.
- Strong responsibility, reliability, and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skillsClean driving record is an advantage.
