Job summary
We are seeking a reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation of company staff, clients, goods, or materials. The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of local routes, a valid driver's licence, good driving experience, and a strong commitment to vehicle safety and maintenance.

Responsibilities:
- Safely transport company staff, clients, goods, and materials to assigned destinations.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly and in accordance with traffic laws.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
- Plan efficient routes and monitor traffic conditions to ensure timely arrival.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.
- Carry out routine checks on tyres, engine oil, brakes, lights, and other vehicle components.
- Report mechanical faults, accidents, damages, or maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods or materials where required.
- Ensure all transported goods and company property are handled securely.
- Observe all road safety regulations and company driving policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct when transporting staff or clients.
- Carry out authorized errands and delivery duties as assigned.
- Ensure all vehicle documents, insurance, and licences are valid and up to date.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
- Work flexible hours when required, including weekends or public holidays.
- Perform other driving-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Proven years of professional driving experience.
- Valid Nigerian Driver's Licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
- Proven experience driving professionally for a company, organization, or private employer.
- Good knowledge of local and major routes.
- Excellent knowledge of Nigerian road safety and traffic regulations.
- Good defensive driving and vehicle-handling skills.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, disciplined, and trustworthy.
- Ability to maintain accurate trip and vehicle records.
- Physically fit and able to work flexible hours when required.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
