Driver

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport company staff, clients, goods, and materials to assigned destinations.
• Operate company vehicles responsibly and in compliance with traffic laws.
• Conduct daily checks of the vehicle before and after use.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
• Plan efficient routes and consider traffic conditions to ensure timely arrival.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
• Monitor tyres, engine oil, brakes, lights, battery, and other basic vehicle components.
• Report mechanical faults, accidents, damages, or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods or materials when required.
• Ensure company property, documents, and transported goods are handled securely.
• Carry out official errands, deliveries, and collections as assigned.
• Ensure vehicle registration, insurance, licence, and other required documents remain valid.
• Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality when transporting staff and clients.
• Keep the vehicle clean, presentable, and organized at all times.
• Follow company driving policies, health and safety procedures, and road safety regulations.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, breakdowns, or unexpected road conditions.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Proven years of professional driving experience.
• Valid Nigerian Driver's Licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle.
• Proven experience as a company, corporate, or professional driver.
• Good knowledge of local and major routes.
• Strong knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations.
• Good defensive driving and vehicle-handling skills.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Reliable, punctual, disciplined, and trustworthy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate vehicle and trip records.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible hours when required.
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
