Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement supply chain strategies that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
- Align supply chain strategies with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
- Work closely with the demand generation/vendor manager to accurately forecast demand and align supply chain activities accordingly.
- The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of supply chain functions across a network of partner pharmacies
- Supply chain processes that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Coordinate the Procurement team to manage the procurement process, including strategic sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Work with the logistics team to coordinate the distribution and supply to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to customers.
- Work with the logistics team to develop and implement logistics strategies that optimize transportation costs and improve service levels.
- Lead and manage the supply chain team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the supply chain team.
- Work closely with other departments, including inventory, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and efficiency across the supply chain.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to address supply chain challenges and develop solutions.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of supply chain strategies and operations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Report on supply chain performance to senior management and make data-driven recommendations.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Manage and resolve supply chain disruptions to minimize impact on operations.
Requirements:
- The candidate must be a licensed Pharmacist. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Professional certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), or equivalent are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
- Proficiency in using supply chain management software
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and leverage data for decision-making and forecasting.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical supply chain operations (e.g., NAFDAC, ).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to manage supplier and vendor relationships effectively.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service excellence.
- Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment and drive continuous improvement.
