Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement supply chain strategies that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Align supply chain strategies with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with the demand generation/vendor manager to accurately forecast demand and align supply chain activities accordingly.
  • The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of supply chain functions across a network of partner pharmacies
  • Supply chain processes that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Coordinate the Procurement team to manage the procurement process, including strategic sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
  • Work with the logistics team to coordinate the distribution and supply to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to customers.
  • Work with the logistics team to develop and implement logistics strategies that optimize transportation costs and improve service levels.
  • Lead and manage the supply chain team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the supply chain team.
  • Work closely with other departments, including inventory, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and efficiency across the supply chain.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to address supply chain challenges and develop solutions.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of supply chain strategies and operations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Report on supply chain performance to senior management and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Manage and resolve supply chain disruptions to minimize impact on operations.


Requirements:

  • The candidate must be a licensed Pharmacist. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Professional certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), or equivalent are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain management software
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and leverage data for decision-making and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical supply chain operations (e.g., NAFDAC, ).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to manage supplier and vendor relationships effectively.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service excellence.
  • Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strategic thinker who aligns supply chain activities with overall business objectives.
  • Flexibility to work remotely, on-site, or travel as necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of current supply chain trends and best practices, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Ability to foster collaboration across multiple departments, including finance, operations, and inventory.
