Tender and Procurement Specialist
Job summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Tender and Procurement Specialist to manage the end-to-end tendering and procurement processes for oil and gas projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing of goods and services while supporting bid preparation and contract award activities in line with company and client requirements.
Job descriptions & requirements
Tender Management:
- Coordinate and manage the full tendering process from receipt of RFQs/RFPs to submission.
- Review tender documents, technical requirements, and commercial terms.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain technical and commercial inputs.
- Prepare tender schedules, clarifications, and compliance matrices.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders in line with client requirements.
Procurement & Sourcing:
- Identify, evaluate, and prequalify vendors and suppliers.
- Issue RFQs and manage bid evaluation processes.
- Conduct technical and commercial bid analysis and recommendations.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contractual conditions.
- Raise purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with approval limits.
Vendor & Contract Management:
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Coordinate contract award and onboarding of vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply chain issues.
- Maintain updated vendor databases and approved supplier lists.
Cost Control & Commercial Support:
- Support cost estimation and budgeting for tenders and projects.
- Track procurement costs against approved budgets.
- Identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.
- Support commercial and finance teams with procurement data.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and oil & gas standards.
- Maintain accurate procurement and tender documentation.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
- Ensure ethical sourcing and adherence to HSE and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with engineering, project, finance, and legal teams.
- Respond to tender clarifications and post-tender negotiations.
- Provide regular updates to management on tender and procurement status.
- Support project execution teams during mobilization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in tendering and procurement within the oil & gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of EPC, servicing, and project-based procurement.
- Experience handling high-value tenders and contracts.

- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement systems (ERP experience is an advantage)
