The Supply Chain Manager oversees end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, supplier relationships and store management, to ensure seamless material flow for plastic production and showroom distribution. Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize procurement of raw materials like resins, additives, and packaging while negotiating contracts with suppliers for competitive pricing and reliable delivery.
- Oversee inventory control across the headquarters and 14 showrooms, implementing demand forecasting, just-in-time systems, and safety stock levels to reduce holding costs and prevent stockouts.
- Coordinate logistics and transportation for inbound raw materials and outbound finished products, ensuring timely distribution to Lagos showrooms and clients while managing third-party logistics providers.
- Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular audits, and build strategic partnerships to mitigate risks such as supply delays or quality issues in the plastics industry.
- Analyze supply chain data using ERP systems to generate reports on KPIs like on-time delivery, cost savings, and inventory turnover, presenting insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
- Lead a team of procurement, logistics, and warehouse staff, fostering cross-functional collaboration with production, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian regulations, health/safety standards, and sustainability practices in manufacturing supply chains.
Store Management
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming raw materials/finished goods, verifying quantities, quality, and purchase orders while preventing degradation.
- Conduct stock counts, audits, reconciliations, and ERP updates to track movements/expiry/usage, issue materials to production/showrooms with documentation, and coordinate with teams for forecasting to avoid stockouts/overstocking.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications are an added advantage.
- 3–5 years progressive experience in supply chain roles within manufacturing, ideally plastics or FMCG sectors.
- Proven expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo) and inventory management software.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos/Nigeria logistics networks, customs regulations, and supplier markets for industrial plastics.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with close attention to detail and strong strategic foresight.
