Mission /Core purpose of the job

Under supervision of the IT Infrastructure Manager to perform the following systems responsibilities:

Database administration and availability

Perform database administration tasks and ensure compliance to IT systems policies.

Elaborate and apply backup strategy for databases and ensure that Backup and Restore activities are undertaken in compliance with approved system backup strategies.

Database support, Incident, and problem management

Provide database first level support to all systems specialists within the IT department.

Handle with Database vendors all incidents and problems in accordance with the underlying IT operations and incident management policy

Database capacity planning

Track, monitor and report on database capacity: identify drivers of database capacity in coordination with system specialists, monitor and report them to line management on monthly basis and propose forecasts for system resources.

General working conditions: (E.g. shift work, driver license, specific tools, special clothing, environmental requirements, etc.)

Normal MTN Benin working conditions May be required extend hours. Anywhere/Anytime work.
