Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Optimise application performance, scalability, and security.
- Identify and troubleshoot bugs and other issues.
- Integrate third-party systems and services into our platform.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Code documentation, e.g. Development of API Documentation.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of web services, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture
- Proven experience as a Back-End Developer
- Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficiency in Node.js
- Fluency / Understanding of PHP/Laravel at an advanced level
- Experience with database management (SQL and NoSQL).
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs desktop, and optimising output to match the specific platform
- Proficiency using Git version control, CI/CD workflows, testing frameworks
