Job Summary

As a Store Officer at our cinema in Lagos, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of inventory and supplies for the cinema. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of stock, overseeing stock levels, and ensuring that all supplies are readily available to support the smooth operation of the cinema.

  • Minimum Qualification: HND
  • Experience Level: Mid level

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain a detailed inventory of all items in the cinema's storage areas, including concession items, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent stockouts.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.


Procurement:

  • Collaborate with the Business Manager to identify supply needs and initiate purchase orders.
  • Evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effective procurement.


Storage and Organization:

  • Ensure that all stock is stored safely, neatly, and in an organized manner.
  • Implement a first-in, first-out (FIFO) system to minimize waste.
  • Keep storage areas clean and well-maintained.


Quality Control:

  • Inspect incoming deliveries for quality and quantity accuracy.
  • Ensure that all items meet the cinema's quality standards.
  • Report any discrepancies or quality issues to the Operations Manager.


Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, stock movements, and purchases.
  • Generate regular reports on stock status and supply expenses.


Team Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with the Concession Stand and Facilities teams to ensure a seamless supply chain.
  • Provide support during inventory counts and audits.


Requirements:

  • HND/BSc or equivalent in a related field.
  • Proven experience in storekeeping, inventory management, and procurement.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
