Store Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect deliveries to ensure accurate quantity and quality of items.
• Properly store all supplies and materials in an organized and secure manner.
• Issue supplies and materials to departments based on approved requisitions.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records using manual logs or inventory software.
• Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies or low stock levels to the store supervisor or administration.
• Assist in preparing purchase requests and stock replenishment reports.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety in the storage area.
• Label and tag all stored items correctly for easy identification and tracking.
• Monitor expiration dates and the condition of perishable or sensitive items (e.g., lab supplies, food items).
• Support audits, inspections, and compliance with internal control standards.

Requirement:

• Experience working in a school or educational institution.
• Good numeracy and record-keeping skills.
• Basic computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel and stock management software.
• Physically fit and able to handle the lifting and moving of goods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Knowledge of procurement or logistics processes.
