Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site architectural supervision and support throughout all phases of construction.
- Interpret and review architectural drawings, specifications, and related project documentation.
- Ensure that construction activities strictly adhere to approved architectural designs and quality standards.
- Conduct routine site inspections and generate detailed progress and compliance reports.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to address and resolve architectural challenges on site.
- Manage and document change orders related to architectural designs and ensure proper implementation.
- Participate actively in site meetings and offer expert architectural input.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ proven experience as a Site Architect or in a similar role, preferably within residential and infrastructure projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, building materials, and architectural detailing.
- Proficiency in industry-standard architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and verbal/written communication.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) or similar professional body is highly desirable.
